Dear Crocs,

We are quickly approaching the end of the season which culminates with the Championship Weekend. Nominations for the final Club Night, Individual Medley Night and Age Championships are now open. 

For the Individual Medley night if your children have participated in one of the special event medley races during the season they are able to be nominated for the medley. For those children that have not, there is a 25m freestyle and 25m breaststroke race they can be entered in. Please only nominate swimmers in the medley or the 25m races not both.

For Age Championships swimmers must be able to swim the stroke using the correct technique. For a swimmer to obtain placing points or medals at the Age Championships they must be a registered member of the club with all registration fees paid and attended the specified number of Club Nights. Swimmers that have not attended the specified number of Club Nights will be allowed to swim but they will not receive placing points or medals and so be ineligible for Age Champion.

Swimmers will swim each stroke in their age group as determined by their age as at the 31/12/2023. 9 years and younger swim 25m, 10 years and older swim 50m. 

For swimmers 10 years and older that wish to only swim 25m for any particular stroke, a 25m 10 years and above race will be included to allow them to participate for that stroke but it will not count towards Age Championship points. Please advise this in the 'notes for coach' text box. 

When nominating for Age Championships you only need to advise if swimmers will be attending. The Nominator will allocate each swimmer into their respective age group stroke races. Any swimmer listed as attending will be allocated a race in all four strokes unless advised. Please provide comments in the 'notes for coach' text box if the swimmer wishes to only participate in certain strokes.

No Age Championship points will be awarded for strokes that are not swum.
