Dear Croc Families,

Firstly Congratulations to all our very courageous siblings who raced at last week’s first sibling race of the season. Our next sibling race will be in week 7!

This week we will be holding the 100m Individual Medley (IM) as the special event. As per Jimmy’s email on Sunday, this is open to all swimmers as it allows our swimmers to have a practice race before the “Individual Medley Night” at the end of the season. This event will be offered 4 times throughout the season, so if your child does not wish to participate this week, they will still have time to practice this event at another date. Please note that if your child wishes to qualify for the “IM Night” in March they will need to have swum in at least one of the Individual Medley special events across the season.

Due to the larger number of swimmers in this week’s special event only three individual strokes are offered this week – freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke. Swimmers are welcome to nominate in all events/strokes if they wish.

Nominations - and volunteer sign up - are open until 430pm on Friday at www.camphillswim.club/swim_meets or via the Swimtopia app. As usual if nominations have closed and you are no longer able to swim please email Jimmy and Mark at [email protected] or SMS on 0401077981.

Whilst nominating why not nominate your child(ren) for our upcoming carnivals. We have 2 carnivals approaching and nominations are now open at www.camphillswim.club/swim_meets If your child wishes to swim please by mindful of the nomination closing dates.

🐊 Southside Friendly Carnival

• Will be held on Saturday 9 November (2pm gates open and races at 230pm)
• This is our first - and home based - Carnival of the season between the Camp Hill Crocs, Mansfield Muddies and the Wellers Hill Water Ratz.
• Nominations close at 6pm on 2 November.
• Please consider volunteering, the shifts are split into sessions so that you will be able to watch your child(ren) compete.
• We will also be calling for Home Bake Volunteers for those that are keen bakers, more details to follow.

🐊 Principals Cup Carnival

• Will be held the following week on Saturday 16 November, with gates opening at 2pm and races commencing at 230pm.
• This carnival will be held at Marshall Road between the Marshall Road Marlins, Rochdale Rays and the Camp Hill Crocs.
• Nominations close at 6pm on Saturday 9 November.

Finally last seasons trophies will be available again at the pool this week.
