Crocs Weekly Email - Week 7

Dear Croc Families,

Wow! What an amazing Carnival we had last weekend. Thank you to all our amazing volunteers who made the day run smoothly. The Crocs came second with an impressive 744 points behind Wellers Hill Water Ratz, with the Mansfield Muddies coming in third. We also had 2 new Pool Records (both of which were set in 1989)! The new record holders are both Camp Hill Crocs Swimmers:

  • Evie F broke the Female 8years 25m Freestyle Pool Record
  • Curtis P broke the Male 17year 50m Breaststroke Pool Record

Our next carnival is this Saturday, 16 November at Marshall Road. Gates Open at 3pm with racing commencing at 330pm. The Nominator will add a link to the website on Friday so you can see what races your child(ren) will be in.

On Friday 6 December Camp Hill SIPS will be holding their Senior (Year3 – 6) Swimming Carnival. The Swim Club host a BBQ (sausage sizzle, drink and icy cup) meal deal along with home bake available for purchase throughout the day as a fundraiser to assist in improving the Schools Pool Facilities for all. We need your support in order to run this event and in previous years we’ve had volunteers take some time out of their work schedule to help us on the day as we have 450+ sausages and icy cups to cook/prepare and serve and of course we’d love any home bake donations to sell. If you can volunteer even just an hour or two out of your day could you please sign up here https://volunteersignup.org/BPA43 thank you.

Meanwhile meal deal orders are now open for year 3-6 students, spectators and staff here https://schoolshoponline.net.au/camphillipss/camphillipss/index.aspx once logged in please click on Events, then the Swim Meal Deal.

Calling all younger siblings… we have our sibling race again this week. If your tiny tot would like to have a swim please have them ready in swimwear and cap, goggles (optional) at the blocks for a 620pm start. We have numerous aides if they need them from big siblings, our Captains, Noodles and Kickboards.

Meanwhile nominations and volunteer sign up for this week’s Club Night are open until 430pm on Friday at www.camphillswim.club/swim_meets or via the Swimtopia app. As usual if nominations have closed and you are no longer able to swim please email Jimmy and Mark at [email protected] or SMS on 0401077981.

As always, if you have any photos from our Club events that you would like us to share on our display boards, socials and/or the next school year book please email them to us at [email protected] so that we can check the photo consent forms before sharing. Thank you

Finally a big shout out to all our sponsors – The Camp Hill Fruit Bowl, The Butcher Shoppe at Cannon Hill and Bakers Delight at Camp Hill – and to all our raffle donors so far this season including The Olde Seven, Max Chandler-Mather Federal MP for Griffith, Steve Minnikin MP, Lucy Collier Councillor for Morningside, The Symons Family, Bunnings, The Porfyriou Family on behalf of Campos, Espial Interiors and Gifts, Swimwear Shack, The Pollack Family, Kindy Science, Nodo, Dendy Cinema and FD2 (Fitness Done Different) Gym.
