Crocs Weekly Update - Week 17

Dear Croc Families,

We hope this finds you all safe, dry and well after ex-TC Alfred’s whirled in and out of the area.

We are fortunate that the pool has received minimal damage and as such we are expecting Friday Night’s club night and Saturday’s Captains Carnival to proceed. We will be holding a last minute working bee at the pool tomorrow / Thursday afternoon from 3 – 6pm’ish. If you are able to assist we’d love your help at the pool, even if for 30 minutes or an hour either at school pick up or after work (although please note children cannot be present). If you have a leaf blower, extension cable and/or broom we’d be grateful if you could bring it with you please. If we work together we can achieve for our entire school community and get the students back in the pool.

Looking forwards Nominations are now open for this week’s Club Night until 430pm on Friday at www.camphillswim.club/swim_meets or via the SwimTopia app. As usual if nominations have closed and you are no longer able to swim please contact Jimmy/Mark at [email protected] or 0401077981. On a side note, Scott has been filling in for Mark over the last couple and next few weeks. We appreciate the help to record all swimmers times, thanks Scott!

This Friday also sees our final Tiny Tots / Sibling race for the season. If your little one would like to participate please have them ready in their swimmers and caps (optional goggles) at the blocks for a 620pm start, thank you.

We will also be holding a “Squares” raffle this week, so please bring your cash along to buy a numbered square with the prize being cash! We will have a $5 and a $10 square raffle available to families.

We’d also like to remind all members of the Crocs Parking agreement with the school.

Both car parks – the one at the pool (off Old Cleveland Road) and the one on Ferguson Road (near the corner of Old Cleveland Road) - are only open to families from 6pm due to OSHC students and staff crossing the driveway and some staff still present.

There is to be no parking on the oval or lower dirt car park in the car park closest to the pool (bitumen only).

Note, you may see cars in here earlier - these will either be school employees or “permit holders” for our committee / volunteers that need to offload heavy equipment / stock for club nights.

We appreciate your support in abiding by these requirements so that we can keep these parking options open for our Crocs families on Friday nights, thank you

Meanwhile for those swimming at Saturday’s Captain’s Carnival we hope you have seen which team your swimmer(s) are in. Dress up is encouraged by swimmers and families attending. Parents also bring your swimmers as there is likely to be a family involved event during the afternoon. Please note this Carnival is organised by our wonderful Captains and Vice Captains. They decided on the theme – Warriors V Wizards - made the poster/flier and have created a list of events they will host. So proud of these leaders of our Club! We hope everyone has a fun afternoon. If you are unsure which team your child is in or would like to participate as a last minute entry please reach out to Jimmy at [email protected] or 0401077981. Gates will open at 2pm with the dress up parade and racing commencing at 230pm. Please note only the Canteen will be open (ie. free entry and no BBQ or timekeepers required).

Finally a reminder that we are having a sale on Boy Speedo’s for $10 in sizes Junior 6 – 14 in the Canteen at Club Night. Grab them before they run out….
