Thank you and Congratulations to all Crocs!
Congratulations to all our swimmers on an amazing season and for striving for Personal Bests each week! What an amazing night of celebration we had last night, thank you for braving the rain and for the amazing dessert table! We can’t wait to see you all back pool side next Season!
There have been so many fun times at the pool from celebrating 25 swim meets to over 200 swim meets, Carnivals where the Crocs cheer squad was in full swing, sibling races, the School Senior Swimming Carnival which is our largest fundraiser, Swimming with Di Farmer MP and Lauren to raise awareness and funds for the Starlight Foundation and having a magical battle between the Wizards and Warriors at the recent Captains Carnival. We also acknowledge our Captains and how they lead the Crocs throughout the year!
The Committee would like to thank you, our amazing volunteers. Without your support we wouldn’t be able to run club nights, carnivals and working bees, so thank you!
Some of you may not be aware but each week – Metro Rags and Supplies, the Camp Hill Fruit Bowl, the Butcher Shoppe at Cannon Hill and Bakers Delight at Camp Hill, – sponsor the Crocs with discounted supplies. We thank these businesses for all their support throughout the Season.
We also thank the following organisations, families and politicians for all our wonderful raffle prize donations this season - Swimwear Shack, Max Chandler-Mather Federal Minister for Griffith, the Symons Family, Kindy Science, FD2 (Fitness Done Different), the Pollack Family, Steve Minnikin MP Chatsworth, Nodo, Dendy Cinemas, the Vassallo Family, Di Farmer MP Bulimba, Jocelyn’s Provisions, Espial, the Porfyriou Family, Cr Fiona Cunningham, Bunnings, The Old Seven and Cr Lucy Collier
With all this support from the above sponsors, raffle donors and importantly our Club Members we have been able to complete several upgrades this season. Attached is a poster outlining where the money has been spent this Season – over $31K! Thank you for all your support and if you have any suggestions on improvements we could make please come along to a meeting and share them with us. Our next meeting will follow the AGM on the 15 May!
Are you interested in joining the Crocs Committee or helping out in any way? Or perhaps you have some ideas or feedback you’d like to share with the Committee. With some of the Committee stepping down we have roles that need filling. For those committee members hoping to stay on, they would be delighted to have you shadow them next season to learn the ropes to take over. We can’t run the Club without all these positions being filled, so even if you think you can only help in a small capacity, please do come along to our AGM and see where you can assist. The Crocs AGM, followed by a committee meeting, will be held at 630pm on Thursday 15 May at the Camp Hill Bowls Club. We’d love to see you there.
And that’s a wrap! We look forward to seeing you all back at the pool in Term 4.
Swim with the Crocs!
