Welcome back to the Croc-o-seum for the 2025/2026 Camp Hill Crocs Swim Season! The pool looked great after the working bee and we can’t wait to see you poolside this week.

Being the first week, we have quite a few bits and pieces to update you on below but firstly nominations for Club Night 1 are now open at www.camphillswim.club/swim_meets Please log in to select the strokes of choice for your child(ren). Nominations will close at 4:30pm on Friday.

For new families joining us, please ensure that you nominate your swimmer(s) in 25m events only until they have achieved the specified qualifying time in each individual stroke and then they may swim in the 50m event(s). The special event 100m race is only open to swimmers who have achieved <40seconds for 50m freestyle. The stroke for the 100m (special event) will change weekly.

Whilst nominating your child(ren) please consider signing up to volunteer this week. We have some exciting volunteer raffles occurring this season. More details on this next week.

Please also download the SwimTopia App (free) on your device which enables you to sign up for meets/club nights, volunteer roles, view your child’s past times history, view the Friday night run sheets, view your child’s times for each event and will allow push notifications for weather event cancellations etc Your sign in details will be the same as your website log in details. Note, you can also sign up for a paid version of the SwimTopia App which will give you some interesting live time and splits if you wish to opt in for this.

A reminder that Gates Open at 6pm for Warm Up (with a 630pm Race Start Time). If you arrive earlier please wait outside whilst our volunteers finish setting up. A reminder of entry prices (cash or card accepted):

• Family (2 Adults + Children) Entry including 3 Raffle Tickets: $5.00
• Family (1 Adult + Children) Entry including 6 Raffle Tickets: $5.00
• Family Entry Only: $3.50
• Adults Entry: $1.50
• Children / Swimmer Entry: $0.50
• Additional Raffle Tickets: $0.50

We also have “pre-paid entry cards” available on the night where you can purchase 10 weeks entry upfront to allow for a speedier VIP entry each week. Any left over entries from last season’s entry cards are still valid so find that special hiding spot they’re lurking in and bring them along with you.

For our new families we cook to cater for anticipated numbers each week (yes we’d love to have you help out on the BBQ and in the Canteen), so if you plan on purchasing food we recommend purchasing your food tokens upon arrival from the Canteen to avoid missing out. We have Burgers, Sausages and Noodles available along with other snacks and drinks.

As per usual practice we require 4 x Pool Deck Supervisors during our Warm Up Period each week (between 6 – 630pm) and the Hi-Vis Vests you are required to wear will be at the Entry Gate for the first 4 Adult entrants to grab, please and thank you.

Parking - from 6pm - is available in 2 Staff Car Parks or on surrounding streets. The 2 car parks the school generously allow us to use are the one closest to the pool, entry via Old Cleveland Road (please only park on the bitumen marked car parks and not the oval or lower dirt car park) and the staff car park on Ferguson Road near the corner of Old Cleveland Road.

Returning families, we hope you will notice our new audio system courtesy of former Federal MP, Max Chandler-Maher. This system now allows various zones with Marshalling having it’s own zone! A huge thank you to Max Chandler-Maher and our Club Chair, Tim Regan and nominator Jimmy Pollack in co-ordinating this wonderful asset.

We also hope you notice all the luxurious new matting around all 4 sides of the pool to allow swimmers a comfortable walk around the pool without burnt feet.

Onto yet more exciting news – drum roll please – this season we will be selling Club t- shirts! Shirts will be $30 and families are welcome to purchase them for the support crew and swimmers to be worn at our carnivals and other events. There will be an order station set up at the pool for the first 3 weeks of the season as orders close on Friday 24 October at 8pm! We will only be raising one order this term for these club shirts so get in quick. There is a flyer attached with measurements if you would like to compare this to your or your child’s existing clothing at home. We will also have some shirt sizes to try on (hopefully before getting wet).

Finally, to our last season’s swimmers. Nat will have any remaining medals and trophies at the first couple of club nights for your collection. Please pop down and see her if needed.
