Hello Crocs Families,

What a fabulous Week 1! Congratulations swimmers on an amazing first night back in the pool with so many achieving PB’s.

Nominations for club night are now open at www.camphillswim.club/swim_meets Please log in to select the strokes of choice for your child(ren). Nominations will close at 430pm on Friday.

For new families joining us, please ensure that you nominate your swimmer(s) in 25m events only until they have achieved the specified qualifying time in each individual stroke and then they may swim in the 50m event(s). The special event 100m race is only open to swimmers who have achieved <40seconds for 50m freestyle. The stroke for the 100m (special event) will change weekly.

Whilst nominating your child(ren) please consider signing up to volunteer this week. From this week there will be a weekly “Volunteer Raffle” whereby if you volunteered the week before, by signing up online, your name will be put into the drawer to win our weekly prize.

Nominations are also open for Friday 31 October so that we can gauge how many swimmers we will have on Halloween so please get in early to nominate whilst signing up for this weeks’ carnival at www.camphillswim.club/swim_meets

Our first carnival, the Principals Cup will be held on Saturday 8 November with Marshall Road and Mayfield at 230pm (warm up from 2pm).  The carnival will be hosted by us, the Crocs at Camp Hill so please consider signing up to volunteer when nominating your child(ren) at www.camphillswim.club/swim_meetsThe flyer is attached for your reference.

A reminder that club caps are mandatory on carnival days. If your child has a milestone cap – 25, 50, 100 – these are fine to wear. Alternatively you can purchase a “red” Crocs cap from the canteen on club nights for $14 or at the “merch / tshirt” ordering desk for this week.

Please also download the SwimTopia App (free) on your device which enables you to sign up for meets/club nights, volunteer roles, view your child’s past times history, view the Friday night run sheets, view your child’s times for each event and will allow push notifications for weather event cancellations etc Your sign in details will be the same as your website log in details. Note, you can also sign up for a paid version of the SwimTopia App which will give you some interesting live time and splits if you wish to opt in for this.

The School have asked us to remind our members that Parking in the staff car parks and our pool entry gate open at 6pm for Warm Up (with a 630pm Race Start Time). If you arrive earlier please find street parking and wait outside whilst our volunteers finish setting up, thank you.

Our popular “pre-paid entry cards” are also available at the entry gate where you can purchase 10 weeks entry upfront to allow for a speedier VIP entry each week. Any remaining entries from last season’s entry cards are still valid too.

Have you ordered your club t-shirt?

Orders will close at 8pm next Friday, 24 October, so get in quick! Alisha will have her ordering station set up again on Friday night.

Shirts are $30 and are available for swimmers and their support crew/families and can be worn at our carnivals and other events. Attached is a flyer with measurements if you would like to compare this to your or your child’s existing clothing at home. We will also have some shirt sizes to try on if you prefer.

Would you like to donate a raffle prize?

You may have noticed that our 2 x weekly raffle prizes are often donated by club families, local businesses and politicians. If you would like to donate a prize (of $50 value per prize) please reach out to Amy at [email protected] thank you.
