Crocs Newsletter - Week 5
Hello Croc Families,
Nominations – and volunteer sign up - are now open for this week’s Club Night until 430pm on Friday at www.camphillswim.club/swim_meets or via the SwimTopia App. If nominations have closed and you are no longer able to swim please contact Mark at [email protected] or 0401077981, thank you.
- 100m IM (Individual Medley) is the special event this week and is open to all swimmers. This allows swimmers to have a practice race before the “Individual Medley Night” at the end of the season. This special event will be offered 4 times throughout the season, so if your child does not wish to participate this week, they will still have time to practice this event at another date. Please note that if your child wishes to qualify for the “IM Night” in March they will need to have swum in at least one of the Individual Medley special events across the season.
- Due to the larger number of swimmers in this week’s special event only three individual strokes are offered this week – freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke. Swimmers are welcome to nominate in all events/strokes if they wish.
The Principals Cup Carnival is this Saturday, 8 November at 230pm (gates and warm up from 2pm).
- The run sheets will be available on the SwimTopia App and website on Friday (if not before). Mark will also email it to all swimmers and there will be a QR code pool side on the day.
- Note, races are subject to change so please ensure you view the updated version at the carnival. If you are no longer able to swim please contact our nominator, Mark at [email protected] or 0401077981, thank you.
- Can you assist at the carnival? As we are hosting we need many volunteers throughout the afternoon. Please jump online or the app and see what roles need filling to make this a successful carnival for our swimmers, thank you.
- A reminder that club caps are mandatory on carnival days. These can be purchased from the pool canteen for $14.
- If you have signed up for the parents race please don’t forget your kit.
- Can you donate any home baked items for the carnival? These can be dropped into the canteen upon arrival on Saturday, thank you.
Club T-shirts Update – we are hoping they will arrive before the carnival this weekend. If we have them, they will be handed out at either Club Night or the Carnival.
Nominations are now open for our next carnival, the Southside Friendly on Saturday 22 November at Mansfield SS along with Wellers Hill. Nominations will close next Saturday 15 November at 3pm (see flyer attached).
Thank you to our weekly raffle donors so far this season including the Vassallo Family, the Pound Family, FD2, Swimwear Shack, The Efstathis Family, Endota, the Swimwear Shack and the Olde Seven. If you would like to donate any raffle prizes please reach out to Amy on club nights or at [email protected], thank you.
Finally, if you have any photos from club nights or the carnival this weekend, please send them to us at [email protected] and [email protected]so that we can check the photo consent before adding to our socials and photo display at the pool, thank you.
See you poolside,
Swim with the Crocs!
