Crocs Weekly News - Week 12
Dear Crocs Families,
It was so great to see our swimmers back in the pool last week and thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who made the night run smoothly. Hopefully you also saw the significant “spruce up” to the pool entry area. There is more to come to this space in time, but for now we give thanks to Lisa Hearse who painted this mural and to the White family and others who were at the Working Bee for cleaning and painting the walls and adding much needed gutter guard to the gutters!
We have so much to share with you this week, I’ll try to keep it brief!
“Summer Splashdown” carnival is this Saturday, 7 February at Camp Hill!
- Can you sign up to assist? As this is a home carnival we require many volunteers to make the afternoon a success. Please consider signing up to volunteer for a shift at www.camphillswim.club/swim_meets
- Home Bake - Can you donate home bake to our canteen for the carnival? Please ensure you attach an ingredients label with all items, thank you.
- A reminder that all Crocs Swimmers must wear (any colour) Crocs Swim Cap and that if your swimmer would like a “Crocs shirts” these are also available from the pool canteen.
- If for any reason your swimmer can no longer swim please reach out to Nat at [email protected] or to Mark at [email protected] as soon as possible, as it take some time to juggle swimmers around, thank you.
- Run Sheets will be available soon via the SwimTopia App.
- Gates will open at 130pm with racing commencing at 2.30pm.
- Please do not park on the school oval – the 2 car parks will be available to us as usual (the teachers car park near the pool and the teachers car park on the corner of Ferguson Road) along with street parking.

New members - Welcome to the Crocs!
- SwimTopia App
- We use the SwimTopia App for our club night run sheets. This will allow you to nominate your swimmer(s), sign up to volunteer, view your child’s pas times history, view the Friday club night run sheets so that you know when they need to be in marshalling and allows for push notifications for weather event cancellations etc. This is a free app, however you can also sign up to a paid version which will give you live timings and splits if you wish to opt in for this.
- Food
- We offer sausages and hamburgers freshly bbq’d each week and tokens for these can be purchased from the canteen upon arrival (get in quick they are a hot commodity).
- Please ensure you collect your meal before the final stroke commences to give our BBQ volunteers time to clean up, thank you.
- Noodles and other snacks and drinks are available from the pool canteen throughout the night.
- Entry Cards
- We offer a prepaid 10 entry “entry card” that you can purchase from the entry area. These will continue to be valid next season if you do not use all 10 entries this term.
- Volunteering
- We encourage family participation and parents are asked to help the evenings run smoothly by volunteering their time. For more information please refer to our Club website www.camphillswim.club or email our Club Secretary at [email protected]
First Aid Officer
If you have volunteered as the “First Aid” officer on a club night or carnival can you please make yourself known to the Canteen volunteers upon arrival so we know you are present. We also now have a hi-vis vest for you to wear so that you can be easily spotted. Thank you for volunteering for this critical role.
